About Tails Together
Tails Together was created for people who know that life is simply better with dogs by our side.
We are a dog-centred events and experiences brand bringing together small dogs and their humans through joyful, stylish and welcoming social events. From themed dog socials and seasonal pop-ups to community meet-ups and special celebrations, we create moments where dogs are not just allowed in the room - they are the reason everyone is there.
At the heart of Tails Together is a simple idea: dogs bring people together.
They help us connect, start conversations, make memories and feel part of something. Whether you are coming along to meet other dog lovers, give your pup a fun new experience, enjoy a dog-friendly day out, or simply do something a little different together, our events are designed to feel relaxed, friendly and full of good energy.
What we do
Tails Together creates curated dog-friendly events in local venues, starting in Essex and the surrounding areas.
Our events may include themed photo moments, dog-safe treats, social play, relaxed mingling, seasonal décor, goodie bags, mini activities, local pet brand collaborations and plenty of opportunities to capture cute content with your dog.
But more than anything, they are designed to create a feeling.
We want you to walk in and feel welcome. We want your dog to feel safe and happy. We want the atmosphere to feel warm, social and easy. We want you to leave with new photos, new memories, maybe a new dog-parent friend, and a very tired, very happy pup.
Our first events are focused on small breed socials, creating a more comfortable environment for little dogs to play, explore and interact with dogs closer to their own size. We know that not every dog enjoys large, busy or unpredictable spaces, so our events are carefully planned with size, temperament, safety and comfort in mind.
Why we exist
More and more of us see our dogs as part of the family. They are our companions, our little shadows, our emotional support, our reason to get outside, and often the centre of our social lives too.
But dog-friendly does not always mean dog-centred.
A lot of places will allow dogs, but not many experiences are designed around them - their comfort, their confidence, their play, their safety, and the joy they bring to the people around them. Tails Together was created to change that.
We wanted to build something that felt fun, thoughtful and genuinely welcoming. A space where dogs can be celebrated, where owners can relax, and where people can meet others who completely understand why your camera roll is full of your dog.
Our events are for the people who plan their weekends around their pup. The people who know their dog’s birthday. The people who buy the bandana, order the pup cup, and say “sorry, can my dog come?” before committing to any social plan.
In other words, our kind of people.
Who our events are for
Tails Together is for dog lovers who want more than a quick walk around the block.
It is for people who see their dog as part of their lifestyle, their family and their identity. People who want experiences they can share with their dog, not just things they have to leave them behind for.
Our community includes dog owners, first-time puppy parents, proud dog mums and dads, couples, friends, families, and anyone who loves being around dogs. You might come because your dog needs more gentle socialisation. You might come because you want to meet other local dog people. You might come because you love a themed event and a good photo opportunity. Or you might simply come because your dog deserves a lovely day out.
You do not need to know anyone before you arrive. That is part of the point.
Dogs are brilliant ice-breakers, and our events are designed to make it easy to chat, mingle and feel part of something.
Our approach to dog welfare
Fun matters, but safety matters more.
Tails Together events are created with dog welfare at the centre. We want every dog to have a positive experience, whether they are confident and sociable or a little more cautious and curious.
That is why we ask owners to only bring dogs who are friendly, healthy, well-socialised and comfortable in a shared environment. We also encourage owners to follow their dog’s lead, give them space when needed, and recognise when they might need a break.
Our events are not about forcing dogs to interact. They are about creating opportunities for safe, gentle and enjoyable social experiences.
Some dogs want to play. Some want to sniff. Some want to sit on their human’s lap and watch the world go by. All of that is welcome.
What makes Tails Together different
Tails Together is not just about putting dogs in a venue and hoping for the best.
We care about the details that make an event feel good for both dogs and humans. That means thinking about the space, the flow, the atmosphere, the size of the dogs attending, the way people arrive, how dogs are introduced, what makes good photo moments, and how to create a social environment that feels calm, happy and inclusive.
Our events are designed to be:
Dog-centred
Dogs are at the heart of everything we do. Their safety, comfort and enjoyment come first.
Human-friendly
We want owners to enjoy themselves too. Our events are social, welcoming and designed for real connection, not just standing awkwardly around the edges.
Small breed aware
Our small dog socials are especially designed for dogs under 12kg, helping create a more suitable environment for little dogs and their humans.
Stylish but accessible
We love beautiful themes, cute details and photo-worthy moments, but we never want our events to feel exclusive, intimidating or over the top.
Local and community-led
We are building something rooted in Essex and the surrounding areas, working with local venues, small businesses and dog-loving communities.
Safe and well-managed
Every event is planned with clear guidance, sensible capacity limits and dog welfare in mind. Owners remain responsible for their dogs, but we create the structure and environment to help everyone have a positive experience.
More than a dog event
Tails Together is about the bond between dogs and their people.
It is about the little rituals that make dog ownership special: dressing them up for a seasonal photo, watching them make a new friend, laughing with another owner because your dogs have the same chaotic energy, or seeing your shy pup slowly grow in confidence.
It is also about community.
Dog ownership can be incredibly joyful, but it can sometimes feel isolating too - especially if your social life does not always fit around having a dog. We want Tails Together to become a place where dog lovers can find their people. A place where it feels normal to talk about your dog like they are your child. A place where you can come on your own and still feel included.
Because when dogs are welcomed properly, people feel welcomed too.
